Hunting for hotel and train ticket

Holiday week in China has just started. The hotels are full or the prices are incredible “inflated”. After 3 hours search, with my back asking for a break every 20 min, I swallow my dignity and go back to the same hotel I was 3 days ago. This time I make clear that I want a room free of cockroaches. I even learn how to say that in Chinese: “Me you Zhongsa”. The lady in the hotel is very comprehensive and smiley, the communication is very fluid. I get room 302, in the opposite extreme of the aisle where the “cockroachy” room 312 is. I move the furniture a little bit, just to see if there’s any. It seems to be ok. Moral of the story: when you book a room in a cheap hotel (30 Yuan, 3 euros) don’t forget to mention that you want it free of Zhongsa! The hot water is also hot and not boiling.
The rest of the afternoon is spent in the search of a suitable flight to Tashkent.
I get my first call on my cellular, it’s Michel from Singapore. She’s coming together and we talk about the possibilities to travel together. I cancel my ticket to Uzbekistan hoping that we can fly together to Bishkek instead (visa facilities at the airport, not the case in Tashkent).
