Thanks to the hyperactive guy, we’re the first to leave the camp. We stop at an inner lake in the island with dense vegetation on one side and a big dune on the other. We have fun going up the dune, running down and diving into the lake after a huge jump. On of the french guys, Antoine, plays with the cat fishes and manage to rub one of them.
On our way back to the van, we have 20 min walk through the forest, it’s amazing. How can all those trees and plants grow on the sand?!
We drive to a camping site with facilities where we wash our dishes and have lunch... and use the toilets. We spend the rest of the day driving along the beaches, admiring the waves, seeing dead jellyfishes thrown out by the tide. I have a morbid pleasure stepping on them, seeing how the break, spreading their gelatinous content around.
We pitch our tents in a reserved area, we ignore the sing and discover that most of the vans do the same. This camping site is well equipped and is in the middle of the forest. The fauna, basically insects, are so noisy some times that one has scream to be listened... never seen before!
We have all dinner together, about 40 people, and start drinking our last reserves of alcohol. I have some difficulties finishing my 15 cans and leave about 8. Happy with it, I fall down and sleep.
